ViviMuse Painterly Glass: A Celebration of Artistic Expression
ViviMuse Painterly glass redefines architectural glass by bringing the expressive art of painting into large-scale applications. Each of the seven designs tells a story of its own, capturing a unique approach to painterly mediums and mark-making.
Inspired by the concept of a "muse"—a source of inspiration—each pattern captures the essence of human creativity, transforming glass into a vibrant canvas that adds warmth, depth, and originality to any space.
Forms+Surfaces Architectural Surfaces Designer Morgan Watson is the artist behind the collection. Her original, hand-produced artworks—crafted with a range of mediums from thick acrylic gels to fluid inks—are at the heart of each design. Morgan explains her fascination with painting as a way to highlight human presence in an increasingly precise, digital world. “There’s something powerful in being able to point and say—wow, a person did that,” she says. “I view the painted mark as a connection to somebody, both in this collection and any painting throughout history.”
Each ViviMuse Painterly glass pattern carries its own emotional tone, offering a range of expressions from joyous to tranquil. Jubilee captures the energy of a celebration with bright, expressive strokes, while Nebula blooms with soft, organic rings reminiscent of natural forms like lichen or water ripples. The collection’s abstract designs invite viewers to interpret them in a personal way.
Morgan’s use of fluid media adds an element of chance, with spontaneous interactions between pigment and surface. “Something as innocent as my breath on the page can alter the course of drying ink,” she notes. “It’s a dance between intention and spontaneity.”
Each pattern is versatile, available in both vertical and horizontal orientations, and can adapt to a variety of architectural applications, from accent panels to feature walls.
By blending artistry with innovative glass design, Forms+Surfaces invites designers to bring the richness of human expression into their projects, turning each space into an inspiring reflection of creativity. To learn more, visit the ViviMuse Painterly glass product page.
